Kochi, Apr 6 (ANI): With Kerala gearing up for the assembly polls, the Congress party is adopting creative methods to woo the voters by conducting street plays across the state, showcasing ill-governance of the CPI (M)-led Left Democratic Front (LDF).
The play is a part of the cultural rally led by Chandy Oommen, son of United Democratic Front leader Oommen Chandy, and was first organised in Malampuzha constituency, from where Chief Minister VS is contesting.
"We thought of doing a new mode of campaigning. Actually, we are doing this for the past five- six elections," said Oommen.
Achu Oommen, daughter of Oommen Chandy also thrashed the LDF, slamming their 'poor' administration in the past five years.
"This effort is a small contribution from our side towards the UDF campaign. It is a fact that for the past five years LDF has done nothing for the development of the state. Any development that is happening here is from the fund allotted by the central government," she said.
"I feel at this point, every Congress person should do their best to bring this government down because it is the most important thing that has to happen in this state right now," she added.
The polling for 140 assembly constituencies in Kerala will be held on April 13. (ANI)
