The President House or Rashtrapati Bhawan is the official house of President of India. It is a huge building in the Centre of Delhi. Though the entry inside is restricted, tourists visit President House to have a look at the marvelous building.

The President House was originally the house of Viceroy of India during the time of British rule but after Independence it became the house of President of India.
The Rashtrapati Bhawan Delhi has a State Drawing Room, a State Ballroom, a State Library, a State Dining Room and many Private Apartments.
Sculptures of elephant, jaguar and cobra are built around the Jaipur column.
Famous Mughal Gardens are part of President House and they are opened for public once in a year during the month of February.
Brief History of President House:
President House Delhi was built by Edwin Lutyens in the year 1929. It is spread in an area of 200,000 sq. ft. It has 4 floors and 355 rooms. Herbert Baker also helped a little in designing the structure.
It took 17 years to complete this structure. It reflects both Indian and European style of architecture.
Tourist Attraction of Delhi around President House:
It is during 26 January and 15 August that the Rajpath joining India Gate and Rastrapati Bhawan is well decorated. Army parades and cultural programs are carried out which start from the Rastrapati Bhawana and pass through India Gate.

Opened only in spring season, during the month of February every year, these beautiful Mughal Gardens are a must visit place near President House Delhi.
