Agni-I

Agni-I is a medium range ballistic missile that has a range of 700 - 1,200 kilometers and is included in Indian army war reserve stock. In 2002, Agni-I was tested in Chandipur.

Strategic Force Command of Indian army includes Agni-I in its war reserve. It can carry 1000 kg of conventional weapons or can also carry nuclear weapon.

This missile is guided with the help of Ring Laser Gyro- INS (Inertial Navigation System) technology and can also be augmented by GPS terminal guidance with potential radar scene correlation.

It's manufacturing cost India around Rs. 250 - 350 million. Agni-I was developed by Defense Research and Development Organization of India.
