New Delhi, July 27 (ANI): India and Pakistan on Wednesday agreed to include 21 more products in the list of permissible items for Cross-LoC trade.
A joint statement issued here after talks between the foreign ministers of the two countries-S.M.Krishna and Hina Rabbani Khar-said that the working group will review the trading list with a view to further specifying permissible items to facilitate intra-Jammu and Kashmir Cross-LoC trade.
It was further stated that both sides will provide adequate facilities at the trade facilitation centres on each side.
Both sides also agreed to enhance the number of trading days from two to four days per week.
Truck movements shall take place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, both on Srinagar-Muzaffarabad and Poonch-Rawalakot routes, it was stated.
It was agreed that the designated authorities will resolve operational issues concerning cross-LoC trade through regular interaction and that there would be regular meetings between the chambers of commerce, and traders of both sides will be facilitated.
Both sides agreed that existing telephone communication facilities should be strengthened and added that meetings of the designated authorities would be held alternately at terminals of Crossing Points on both sides of the LoC every quarter or as and when deemed necessary. (ANI)
