ASUS to launch new laptop to Vivobook series powered with Qualcomm’s Oryon-based CPU. ASUS became the first company launching Qualcomm’s Oryon-based CPU. Company will be launching Vivobook series laptops on May 20th. This is an important milestone for the company as they are launching the first laptop powered by the Snapdragon X Elite chipset.
Officially there is no word about the specification of Vivobook series laptops. During the launch event on May 20th the company will provide the specification of this laptop series.
ASUS is promoting this launch as a 'groundbreaking' AI PC with Snapdragon X Elite SoC. It is most likely to be a Vivobook laptop with more power and latest specifications. This time the launch event will be witnessed by the representatives from Microsoft's and ASUS.
ASUS is bringing the Snapdragon X Elite chip based ‘unknown’ device, but we don’t know if its going to be a laptop or an AI PC. During the launch event we will be able to know the exact details of the new device.
This new device will be unveiled in a virtual launch event online at 1pm CDT (11am PST) on May 20, 2024. ASUS will be unveiling new device series in this event.
During this event Microsoft will reveal its new Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6 devices for consumers on May 20, 2024. We don’t know if they are using a Snapdragon ARM-based chip inside.
In the market we are expecting Qualcomm-powered laptops and AI PCs manufactured by Lenovo, HP, Dell. The Qualcomm-powered devices will be a big-hitting laptop vendor in coming years.
There is no official disclosure of the specification of the upcoming device which uses the Snapdragon X Elite chip. But the upcoming device is hinting to be the model comparable to the S5506.

As per ASUS, the new device(laptops/desktop) will be of the premium segment and it will come with the ‘innovative AI functions’ and ‘unrivaled performance’. Most people think that it will come with the Qualcomm’s new processors.
As per the ASUS announcement this event will be a virtual event, but there is no word about an online event. This event will take place on May 20, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. PST (May 20, 2024, at 08:00 p.m. GMT).
