Prime Minister Narendra Modi pays his tribute to Shri Gopal Krishna Gokhale on his birth anniversary. Gopal Krishna Gokhale (9 May 1866 - 19 February 1915) was one of the founding social and political leaders during the Indian Independence Movement.
The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has paid tributes to Shri Gopal Krishna Gokhale, on his birth anniversary.
"Gopal Krishna Gokhale was a great personality; a remarkable freedom fighter and social reformer. Tributes to him on his birth anniversary", the Prime Minister said.
Gokhale was also associated with the Indian National Congress and he was one of the senior leader of the Indian National Congress.
He was also the founder of the Servants of India Society. He followed the path of non-violence and reform within existing government institutions.
