Basant Panchami - PM Greeted people on this occasion

PM Narendra Modi greeted people on the occasion of Basant Panchami and Saraswati puja. PM posted the greetings on his twitter account.

"Greetings on Basant Panchami. May this festival bring immense happiness and prosperity in everyone's lives,", the prime minister said in his Twitter message.

The Basant Panchami is the first day of the Spring season, this date marks the end of the winter season and the Spring season starts from this day.

This is day is celebrated and the Sarswati Puja is performed by the students in the schools and colleges. Peoples also performs the Sarswati Puja in their home.

The Basant Panchami and Saraswati Puja are celebrated in the different parts of the country. In Bihar Saraswati Puja is celebrated in almost all the schools and the colleges. People performs the puja of Devi Saraswati through Vedic mantra.

In Web Bengal, Saraswati Puja and the idols of Saraswati are being worshiped in various educational institutes.

Today, thousands of also took dip into the Sangam in Allahadab to mark the religious festival. Every year this festival is celebrated in the month of Magh according to the Hindu calendar.
