IPL 5: Chennai Super Kings to confront Mumbai Indians in inaugural match

In their race to hat-trick of IPL titles defending champions Chennai Super Kings will take on Mumbai Indians in the opening match of IPL season five at the M A Chidambaram stadium in Chennai on Wednesday.

It will be interesting to see who wins the match as both the teams has big names of cricket. While Chennai Super Kings (CSK) banks on its charismatic and cool captain MS Dhoni on the other side Mumbai Indians will expects some powerful performance by Sachin Tendulkar who has just completed ton of tons in international cricket and has recently given up captaincy of Mumbai Indians to play his natural game. With consistent performance in Bangladesh he has shown that he can't be signed off easily. Under its new captain Harbhajan Singh, Mumbai Indian will play with a renewed vigor to win the IPL cup for the first time.

Stakes are high for this match as both the teams look strong with presence of star players. Mumbai Indian has strengthened the teams by including the wicket-keeper batsman Dinesh Karthik and left-arm spinner Pragyan Ojha. While Chennai Super Kings has boost its already dangerous attack by bringing in Ravindra Jadeja.

This high voltage IPL opener will start at 20:00 IST on Wednesday.
