MCD trifurcation drive proves costly, says officials

Trifurcation of Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) pays cost to Congress for its debacle, as it seems but now it has become a tedious job for the officials of MCD to divide the major documents and officers including furniture in the three civic bodies.

In fact they are paying the cost for the political war between Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress leaders, which results as a trifurcation of the MCD. Now officials are busy in setting up the issues like photocopies of documents of the projects, distribution of crockery and other things.

As the elections for the trifurcated MCD has completed and now its time to implement on the ground reality, it is the officials who have to face many odds for keeping thing on right.

It is noted that the MCD, one of the largest civic bodies in the world, has been divided into East Delhi Municipal Corporation, South Delhi Municipal Corporation and North Delhi Municipal Corporation.

According to officials the real problem for them is that they have to segregate project papers of each department for each corporation. As per new arrangement there will be for each corporations. All this thing seems not is so easy and it will take eight month. But officials have to complete all things on right place before one month and that is the main ordeal for them.

According to MCD officials the big challenged for them is to divide crockery, work stations and furniture worth Rs. 30 crore in three civic bodies.

Apart from this sharing the e-governance set up is also a major problem for the officials.
