Ahmedabad, Mar 23 (ANI): The Forensics Sciences Lab (FSL) on Friday gave a clean chit to the two Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLAs in Gujarat, accused of watching pornographic pictures in the legislative assembly.
BJP MLAs Shankar Chaudhary and Jetha Bharwad had earlier, on Wednesday, accused of watching obscene videos on their iPad during the budgetary session in the assembly.
Speaking to reporters in Ahmedabad city, Chaudhary expressed his relief over the outcome, adding that he had always maintained his innocence.
"Earlier I had also said that I was innocent. I handed over my laptop (iPad) to the assembly speaker and asked for a thorough probe from the best agency in the world. I also asked him to probe the allegations made by the Congress (party) men and that the report be made public. I am thankful to God that the proverb 'the truth shall prevail' has been proven," said Chaudhary.
He added the incident had exposed the scheming nature of the Congress party, the state's main opposition.
"The conspiracy by the Congress has been exposed. In the coming days, I will personally fight the legal battle against people involved in the conspiracy," he added.
The allegations against the Gujarat MLAs came just weeks after three Karnataka BJP lawmakers were caught viewing pornographic videos on a mobile phone during the state assembly session leading to their resignation. (ANI)
