New Delhi, Mar 6 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Prakash Javadekar on Tuesday welcomed vote trends in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab and Goa, claiming that there was a clear-cut anti-Congress mood throughout the country.
"We are very happy with the trends of the five states election results, which are very clearly indicating a swing in favour of BJP and NDA. We will form the government in Uttarakhand. We are winning Punjab with handsome victory, Akali Dal and BJP put together. We will also rest Goa from Congress as it seems now. We are confident and we are improving our tally and performance in Uttar Pradesh," said Javadekar.
"And, all those states, Congress is receiving drubbing. What has happened is that there is a clear-cut anti-Congress mood throughout the country," he added.
The BJP is so far leading in 52 seats in Uttar Pradesh, 28 seats in Uttarakhand, six seats in Goa and 43 seats in Punjab along with its ally the Shiromani Akal Dal (SAD). (ANI)
