Congress is a sinking ship of politics, anyone who board will sink as well: Ramdev

New Delhi, Mar 6 (ANI): Mocking the Congress party for putting up a dismal show in assembly polls, Yoga guru Baba Ramdev here on Tuesday said the Congress is a sinking ship of politics, anyone who board will sink as well.

"These election results carry an important message for all the political parties of the nation. Particularly for the party that is leading the ruling alliance at the centre, that it is a sinking ship of politics, anyone who boards this ship will sink as well," said Ramdev.

He warned UPA allies that it was time they contemplated their relations with Congress.

"So I say those parties who are part of this alliance it is time to contemplate and should immediately withdraw their support from the coalition otherwise they will also suffer," said Ramdev.

He further said that just like battle between gods and beasts the corrupt party has been wiped out off the picture. It has been swept clean from the face of the nation and justice was delivered to the nation today.

Ramdev also took potshots at Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi saying after making so much of effort he could only manage to gain few extra seats to his party's tally.

"During the election time I toured four states held meetings and gatherings, and the result of those meetings was that just like Ravana and Kans that party's (Congress) ego fell hard on the ground. And after making so much of effort I would like to thank that party's prince (Rahul Gandhi), on behalf of the nation, for being able to add only five extra seats to its tally.

The results in Uttar Pradesh are clearly indicating Samajwadi Party (SP) moving towards majority and is likely to form the next government in the state.

As per the latest trends, SP is leading in close to 200 seats. The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) will remain second despite a loss of over 100 seats in comparison to the 206 it got in 2007.

The Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party are fighting for third and fourth place. (ANI)
