New Delhi, Mar 6 (ANI): With the Congress slipping to fourth position in Uttar Pradesh, Minister of State for Communication and IT Sachin Pilot on Tuesday said the Samajwadi Party (SP) gained an advantage from the Congress campaign against the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP).
"I feel that we created an environment against BSP and SP got advantage of this. Our mission in UP was to remove BSP government and we did it," Pilot said here.
"We did very good campaigns in UP. We should wait for the total outcome of the results," he added.
Commenting on the polls in Manipur, Pilot said: "We are going to form our Government in Manipur."
Talking about Punjab and Goa, Pilot said: "We were thinking we would form our Government in Punjab, while Goa is very small state. There are very few seats in Goa."
As per the trends of the Uttar Pradesh assembly results, Mulayam Singh Yadav's Samajwadi Party (SP) is leading in 185 seats followed by the BSP in 99 seats. The BJP is leading in 55 seats, while the Congress is leading in 50 seats. (ANI)
