Barabanki, Mar 4 (ANI): Congress leader Beni Prasad Verma on Sunday said that alit dominant Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) seemed a much better ally than Goonda Raj Samajwadi Party (SP) in Uttar Pradesh.
"Dalits are better than goons that is why BSP is better than SP," Prasad told media here.
He further said the key to make government is in the hands of Congress.
"Congress would surely form its government in Uttar Pradesh. We will get almost 125 seats," he added.
Earlier, Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh reiterated that the Congress party would gain massive victory in the Uttar Pradesh polls.
"I have said this before and would like to remain firm on my stand that astonishing results are awaiting the Congress party," Singh said.
The Uttar Pradesh polls are being viewed as an opportunity for major political parties to re-establish their foothold in the country's fifth largest and most populous state.
The first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh phases of polling occurred on February 8, 11, 15, 19, 23, 28 respectively and March 3.
The poll results will broadly indicate trends for the 2014 general elections. (ANI)
