London, Jan 21 (ANI): The Duchess of Cambridge has jetted off to the Caribbean holiday spot of Mustique for some quality time with her family, including sister Pippa.
She has left behind her husband Prince William as he performs his air helicopter search and rescue duties for the RAF, in chilly Anglesey, North Wales.
The couple's separation comes two weeks before they are due to be parted for six weeks when William, takes up his controversial posting to the Falkland Islands, the Mirror reported.
However, they have spent plenty of time together over Christmas at Sandringham as well as partying at New Year.
The Middletons flew first class with British Airways from London Gatwick to St Lucia on Wednesday.
They then went to the tiny island of Mustique - a favourite holiday destination of the family for years - which has just 74 villas with activities including diving and tennis.
The trip is believed to be a belated 30th birthday celebration for the Duchess, who spent the landmark day on January 9 at a low-key dinner with family and close friends.
It is thought William will fly out to Mustique in the next few days when he finishes his RAF shift. (ANI)
