It was manufactured by Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO). This missile can be launched from a road TEL vehicle and rail as well. Agni - II missile is operational and is included in Indian war reserve stock. TDOA (Time Delay Of Arrival) technique is used for maintaining accuracy of this missile and resembles GPS in some way.
It has a two-and-half-stage of solid propellant engine.
