Dharamshala, Dec. 13 (ANI): Hundreds of Tibetan supporters gathered here today to welcome Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, after he returned from his European tour.
During his visit to Europe, the Dalai Lama met the European parliamentarians and French President Nicolas Sarkozy, and is reported to have shared his concerns over the situation in Tibet.
The President of the Tibetan Women Association, B. Tsering, expressed her happiness on the Dalai Lama's return and hoped that some solution would emerge to free Tibet from Chinese occupation.
Tsering said: "We have come here to receive his holiness from his trip to Europe and recently he had a chance to speak to the European parliamentarians. So, we are happy that he could even meet the European chairperson Nicholas Sarkozy. We feel that after his minor surgery he has made a trip to the West and he is back and hope some great thing has been achieved." (ANI)
