India’s growing response as an important tourism destination is attracting more and more visitors from all across the world. As Gulf is one of the important markets for Indian travel and tourism industry, this time at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2008, an Indian delegation led by Minister of State for Tourism and Culture Smt. Kanti Singh attended the event in Dubai to further promote India’s top tourist destination.
In its 15th anniversary, the four-day (May 06-09) tourism show has been held in Dubai (UAE) attracts travel agents, top industry pioneers and various government delegates from across the world to showcase, promote and educate their own regions travel trade.
With concerted effort in pursuit of making India one of the top tourist destinations of the world, the government of India too thorough its Incredible India campaign has launched a range of promotional initiatives at the event.
The Indian pavilion this year has seen participation from the major State Governments and leading tour operators from India. The pavilion was officially inaugurated on May 06 by Mr. Venu Rajamony, Consul General of India, and the delegation from India.
India is showcasing their diverse range of products in the 400 sq meter stunning and colourful India Pavilion at the DWTC during the Arabian Travel Mart.
Over 50 leading Travel trade entities from India are participating this year thus showcasing an unprecedented range of new tourism products ranging from Medical Tourism, Spas, Adventure, Leisure and many more.
Visitors at the ATM are experiencing relaxing Ayurveda Massages, traditional Indian Henna & get their palms read by an Indian Palmist, which have been organized at the India Pavilion for all visitors. Visitors can also see a display of art forms along with other activities. India hopes to let visitors have a glimpse of the amazing diversity of the rich land.
As part of the initiatives an India Evening is being organised on 7th May to share plans of this year, with members of travel trade, media and other dignitaries of Dubai.
