Ghaziabad (Uttar Pradesh), Oct 20 (IANS) A senior Provincial Civil Services officer in Uttar Pradesh was arrested here Monday for allegedly harassing his wife for dowry, the police said.
Manoj Kumar, posted at Meerut Development Authority (MDA), was arrested from his Lohia Nagar residence in Ghaziabad Monday morning, the police said.
'Kumar was arrested after his wife Ranju Kumar filed a complaint of dowry harassment,' Superintendent of Police Vijay Bhushan told IANS. The two were married in 1998.
