Kanpur, Jan 8 (ANI): Aide of anti-graft crusader Anna Hazare, Sanjay Singh has advised Congress party led Central government and other political leaders to do a ground reality test in corruption plaguing the day-to-day life of the masses instead of delaying the passage of the Lokpal Bill.
"If you have to know that pain with which people suffer then you become MNREGA's worker for a day. You should go and register an FIR like an ordinary person. Or similarly, take a relative to a government hospital for medical treatment. And when you will be asked for bribe there then you will understand the ground reality that how much corruption prevails in the country," he told the media here.
"The UPA government or national leaders are unable to understand the suffering of the people and that is why they are bickering over the Lokpal bill and are playing football with it," he added.
Talking about Team Anna agenda, Singh said: "Whatever the doctors will suggest relating to Anna Ji's health, depending on that he will take a decision on his tour of Uttar Pradesh. Soon there will be a meeting of the core-committee in which we will decide upon our role in the upcoming elections."
" On Sunday in Lucknow we will be meeting all our activists and workers. In that meeting we would decide to bring in front of people the real face of all the political parties contesting in Uttar Pradesh elections. We will inform the people about the corruption that took place under the regime of various parties," added Singh.
Anna Hazare was forced to cut short his hunger strike after a team of specialists advised him to start eating again on the second day of his fast, citing low blood pressure, weakness and threat to his kidneys. (ANI)
