Siliguri, Jan 3 (ANI): More than 700 artisans from across all the districts of West Bengal participated in the handicraft fair displaying vast variety of their traditional work.
The month long exhibition organised by the state government aimed to provide the small-scale artisans a platform, to showcase their products and provide a boost to their business, as they are not exposed to bigger markets.
"Basically this fair is meant for the marketing avenues of the poor artisans throughout the Bengal, they are participating in this fair and we are promoting them for the marketing of their products," said S.K Pramanik, General Manager of Information and Culture Department, Darjeeling.
