George Michael out of danger and showing 'significant improvement'

London, Thu, 01 Dec 2011 ANI

London, Dec 1 (ANI): George Michael, who was admitted to the hospital after he suffered from pneumonia, has been moved from intensive care after showing signs of recovery.

According to sources at the hospital, the 48-year-old singer has made a "significant improvement".

Michael's boyfriend Fadi Fawaz and his family will now be able to join him at his bedside in Vienna, Austria.

Doctors treating the popstar said that the time he spent in isolation was essential due to the "severity and extension" of his illness.

"There are no other health issues with regards to the patient other than the underlying pneumonic disorder, and no further measures had to be taken," the Mirror quoted Professor Gottfried Locker as saying.

Friends now hope he could be transferred to a British hospital before Christmas. (ANI)
