Anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare and his colleagues may go for one-day long protest at Jantar Mantar on December 11 if standing committee does not approve Team Anna's Lokpal Bill at their satisfactory level, informed a member of Team Anna to the media.

According to media reports, team Anna is looking for Delhi Police's nod for holding a-day long protest at Jantar mantar on Dec 11.

"It all depends on the Standing Committee's proposals. Please join the dharna at Jantar Mantar on December 11 for a strong Janlokpal," an unnamed member of Team Anna said to media.

In a move to step up pressure on government over the Jan Lokpal bill, Anna Hazare has warned the government to go for another round of hunger strike from December 27 to January 08, 2012 at Ramlila ground and asked to Delhi Police for giving 'NOC' to team Anna and their supporters in this regard.

Team Anna has got the MCD's nod for it, as a spokesperson for 'India Against Corruption' (IAC) said to the media while MCD office has not confirmed this report.

The Parliamentary panel is likely to submit its report on the Lokpal bill till December 7 and as earlier sources told that government was not interested in four-five provisions of Team Anna's Jan Lokpal bill.

Thus, it is considered that to include these provisions in the government's lokpal bill, Team Anna is stepping up the pressure over Parliamentary Committee. As it is known that team Anna wants to bring lower bureaucracy and higher judiciary under the ambit of the bill and include the provision of Citizen's Charter and establishing Lokayuktas at the state level in government's lokpal bill.

The Chairman of the standing committee, Abhishek Manu Singhvi, on the other hand informed the media that panel has comprehensively dealt with 25 core issues including those concerning media, corporates, NGOs, lower bureaucracy and citizens grievances, and committee had ended its internal deliberations with "broad consensus" on most of the issues on Nov 24.
