Sri Sri Ravi Shankar supports Team Anna, says truth will prevail despite all odds

Surat, Thu, 27 Oct 2011 ANI

Surat, Oct 27 (ANI): Supporting anti-graft crusader Anna Hazare and his associates, spiritual guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar has said that controversies will always be there around such big movements, but the truth will finally prevail despite all odds.

The simmering face-off between the Congress party and Team Anna has turned into a political potboiler, with both sides routinely criticising one an other on several issues.

"My support was always there with Anna Ji and will always remain with him. I normally support an issue after completely knowing and enquiring about it. I do not have any doubt or apprehension about Anna Ji's intentions and motives. I have supported and will always support this movement," he told the media here..

"All those who are screaming against truth will not be able to sustain for too long. I want to say that truth will always prevail. No matter, till what extent a man may do wrong things but truth will always stand clear. I have complete faith on the principle of Satyameva Jayate (truth alone triumphs)," he added.

Commenting on news reports that former senior police officer and civil society activist Kiran Bedi presented inflated travel expenses to NGOs, Ravi Shankar said: "We are not worried about whatever little bit is happening with his associates. When motive is clear and strong, it will keep moving forward. People may come and go but the motive will always stand clear."

On October 20, a report published in leading national English daily had alleged Bedi of travelling in "economy" class and charging NGOs and other institutions that invite her for seminars and discussions, with bills of business class. (ANI)
