Ajmer, Oct 22 (ANI): Congress leader Subodh Kant Sahay has lashed out at veteran social activist Anna Hazare for campaigning against Congress in the recently concluded Hisar by-polls
Addressing mediapersons here, Sahay said: " Team Anna's political intention or Anna's intention in fighting corruption (is commendable), we gave that so much respect. But, if you want to be our political rival and stand for election, then he is welcome to join, since dozens of parties contest against us."
Hazare's key aides Kiran Bedi and Arvind Kejriwal had extensively campaigned in Hisar, ahead of the by-polls and urged the people to not vote for the Congress party candidate.
Sahay also criticised senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader LK Advani, stating that his party members have been involved in various scams; hence it is pointless for him to embark on journeys focusing on anti-corruption.
"He should have gone to Karnataka, where more than a dozen leaders are imprisoned and Reddy brothers and other prominent leaders have a role to play since they have been involved in this. So, first he should see within his party," Sahay said. (ANI)
