Hissar, Fri, 21 Oct 2011 ANI

Hissar, Oct 21(ANI): Consequent to his rout including loss of security deposit in the recent by-elections in Hissar, Haryana, Congress party candidate Jai Prakash today blamed his party workers for sabotaging his assured chances of victory.

Prakash now says that he would expose all those Congressmen who worked against the party interests.

"There is no doubt about the fact that those who have voted against Congress and sided with the BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) and the HJC (Haryana Janhit Congress)... we will expose them," said Prakash.

Meanwhile, in the national capital, reacting to this episode in Haryana, Congress party spokespersons Abhishek Manu Singhvi said that it was too early to blame any particular persons.

He said the party's high command and disciplinary committee would consider all aspects and decide once the aggrieved party member files a formal complaint.

"Any complaints by official candidates are always viewed seriously and thoroughly probed. We will be gone into all details. This doesn't mean that there is any acceptance of the allegation as yet. But as you know, there is a structure for it, there is a system for it, a disciplinary committee and that process will be gone into if and when a formal complaint is submitted," said Singhvi.

Prakash, a three-time lawmaker from Hissar came a poor third with 1,49,785 votes in the by-polls for which the results were declared on October 17.

Chief of Janhit Congress Kuldeep Bishnoi won the election by a margin of 6,323 votes, wining a total of 3,55,941 votes. Indian National Lok Dal party leader Ajay Singh Chautala, came second by securing 3,49,618 votes in the parliamentary by-poll. (ANI)
