Hamilton asks Massa to 'grow up' over protracted spat

Kabul, Fri, 14 Oct 2011 ANI

Kabul, Oct 14 (ANI): British Formula One ace Lewis Hamilton has asked Felipe Massa to grow up, after admitting his career had driven over a cliff.

The British racer hoped that the feud with Massa does not continue in Korea on Sunday after they clashed for the fifth time this season in Japan last weekend, The Sun reports.

"The situation with Felipe has not been great for some time. I hope we can be cool with each other again. But if he doesn't want to be grown up about it, that's fine," he said.

"I've always had respect for Felipe, despite the negative comments he is constantly coming up with. I've tried to show respect. In the last race I am very, very sorry for what happened," he added.

Thirty-year-old Massa is refusing to even speak to his rival, even though he has talked with race Director Charlie Whiting over their disputes.

"I've tried to speak to him and he didn't want to and, to be honest, I don't care any more. I'm not going to speak to him. I've discussed it with Charlie and told them to be more consistent. Nothing more than that," Massa added. (ANI)
