Controversial Sarah Palin biography sells just 6,000 copies in 1st week

Washington, Sept 30 (ANI): Seems like the tell-all biography about Sarah Palin that had stirred a controversy in recent weeks had got a lukewarm response from the public since its release on September 20.

According to Nielsen Bookscan, 'The Rogue: Searching for the Real Sarah Palin' by Joe McGinniss sold just 6,034 copies six days of the first week, reports Politico.

The International Business Tribune reported that the book did best in the Pacific geographic area, which includes Alaska, selling more than 1,500 copies, while it sold fewer than 500 copies in the Northeast, which includes New York.

The book, which has been both panned by critics and seen excerpts go viral on the Internet, currently ranks 116th on Amazon's Best Sellers, and according to IBT was the 16th best-selling new hardcover last week.

The buzz and controversy over the book's most salacious revelations seems to have dampened enthusiasm to buy the actual book. (ANI)
