New York, Sept 29 (ANI): Stephen Hanks, the man who infamously heckled Bristol Palin at a Hollywood bar last week, has issued an apology to the 20-year-old former first daughter of Alaska.
"I have come to the conclusion that no matter what my feelings are towards Sarah Palin, I should not have expressed them towards her daughter," the New York Daily News quoted Hanks as saying in a statement to E! News.
Hanks had his change of heart after reportedly receiving a number of threats-including against his dog.
In his statement, Hanks admits that his gusto for equality did play into the rumble.
"I am very passionate about politics, and believe in equality for all Americans," he said. "I expressed my feelings in an improper manner in the heat of the moment, and allowed my emotions to get the better of me."
Hoping to put the issue behind him, he continued, "I apologize to them for my poor judgment that night, and to Bristol for any hurt my actions may have caused her.
"I wish Bristol success with her television show and much happiness in the future," he added. (ANI)
