Washington, Sept 27 (ANI): Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin has threatened legal action against the author and publisher of an unflattering biography, which she says contains "a series of lies and rumours".
In a letter sent to the book's publisher, Crown Publishing Group, Palin's lawyer said Palin may sue the company and Joe McGinniss "for knowingly publishing false statements" in the book 'The Rogue: Searching for the Real Sarah Palin', released last week, ABC News reported.
The letter cites an email that McGinniss allegedly sent to liberal Alaskan blogger Jesse Griffin, seeking substantiation for several rumours that have surrounded Palin's family, reports the Daily Mail.
The letter also advises the author and the publisher to refrain from destroying any e-mail correspondence that might serve as evidence in such a lawsuit. (ANI)
