Lack of territorial demarcation led to Chinese incursion: Virbhadra Singh

Kullu, Tue, 20 Sep 2011 ANI

Kullu, Sep 20 (ANI): Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Virbhadra Singh, has said the recent bunker demolition by Chinese troops occurred due to lack of territorial demarcation along border areas.

Addressing mediapersons here on Monday, Singh said: "The Tibetan border has become the Indo-Chinese border. There are many areas where there are no demarcations. We say this part is ours, they say they own that part. There are a lot of misunderstandings."

"We say that we are on one side of the fence and they are on the other side. They say we own 15 to 20 foot even beyond the fenced area. So, this has been a disputed area for long. They come to our side and demolish the bunkers," he added.

He further said that these issues are normal and one does not need to worry about them.

"The border has not been demarcated at several spots which lead to misunderstanding," he added. (ANI)
