Paris, Sept 13 (ANI): Former International Monetary Fund chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn was reportedly questioned by French police over allegations that he attempted to rape a French writer in 2003.
French writer Tristane Banon has claimed that Strauss-Kahn sexually assaulted her in a Paris flat in 2003.
After a preliminary inquiry, the prosecutor would decide whether to prosecute, to drop the case, or to rule that the alleged crime took place so long ago that it can no longer be punished, the Daily Mail reports.
Strauss-Kahn has already filed a defamation suit against Banon, alleging she invented the story to help publicise her writing.
Meanwhile, Banon recently posted a message on Facebook saying she was 'nauseated' at seeing Strauss-Kahn back in Paris following the collapse of another attempted rape trial in America. (ANI)
