Hyderabad, Sep 11 (ANI): Doctors attending to former Indian skipper and Moradabad MP Mohammed Azharuddin's son Ayazuddin, who suffered serious head injuries in a bike accident in Hyderabad, today said that the boy has undergone an emergency surgery to stop the bleeding and continues to be critical.
Azharuddin's relative Ajmal-ur-Rahman and his son Ayazuddin met with an accident on the outskirts of the city early this morning.
"Today morning at 9 a.m., two kids were brought to us with history of road traffic accidents. One of the boy expired. The other boy Ayazuddin, who happens to be son of Mohammad Azharuddin, continues to be critical. A team of doctors is working on him. At the present time, he has undergone an emergency surgery to stop the bleeding," said Dr. Joshi, who heads the emergency services for Apollo Hospital
"He (Ayazuddin) has sustained severe injuries to his chest and both kidneys. Currently he is on a ventilator. His blood pressure is being supported with supporting medications. He has been given blood and other products. Our team of doctors from various specialties along with our intensive care team is closely watching his progress," he added.
Ayazuddin, 18, is the second of Azharuddin's two sons.
Meanwhile, Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad is expected to visit the Apollo Hospital here and meet Azharuddin's son.
Azharuddin, who was away in London, is rushing back to Hyderabad. (ANI)
