Tripoli, Aug 29 (ANI): A Libyan rebel commander has said that the ousted dictator Muammar Gaddafi is facing his "last ten days of freedom".
Commander Colonel Salem Muftah al-Refaidy predicted that is how long it will take them to seize control of Gaddafi's home town of Sirte, which his last bastion of support.
"Our aim isn't bloodshed, our aim is liberation," the Daily Star quoted al-Refaidy, as saying.
"We don't want more bloodshed, especially among civilians, children, elderly and women," he said.
He also that said it would take just ten days to 'liberate' Sirte and find Gaddafi.
Gaddafi, 69, is believed to be hiding in Sirte after fleeing Tripoli through underground tunnels as rebel troops descended on the capital.
Last night the rebels were just 60 miles from Sirte with orders to fight unless Gaddafi's men surrender, the report said. (ANI)
