New Delhi, Aug 10 (ANI): A delegation of fifteen Nepali women Parliamentarians are presently on a visit to India at the invitation of PD Division of the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).
They represent seven political parties including, Nepali Congress, Communist Party of Nepal (UML), Communist Party of Nepal (Maoists) and parties of the Terai region, that are engaged in drafting the Constitution of Nepal.
The delegation called on Lok Sabha speaker Meira Kumar and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Sushma Swaraj. They also interacted with Chairperson of Standing Committee on Rural Development.
The other engagements of the visiting delegation in New Delhi included meeting with Foreign Secretary Ranjan Mathai, participation in a seminar organized by CII on hydropower potential in Nepal, and an interaction at the Indian Council for World Affairs.
They visited the National Small Industries Cooperation, the Delhi Metro and Akshardham Temple.
The delegation will also travel to Bangalore. (ANI)
