London, Aug 8 (ANI): Brit-Indian honeymoon murder suspect Shrien Dewani was impotent and could not have sex, his former fianc?e has told South African police.
Dewani, who is accused of masterminding his wife Anni's death in Cape Town during their honeymoon last year, allegedly broke off his engagement with Rani Kansagra after he told her about his sexual problems, the Daily Mail reports.
Reports suggest police are investigating whether the Indian-born care home boss is gay after an escort, who calls himself The German Master, contacted police in the Britain to inform that he recognised 31-year-old Dewani as a client when he saw him on TV news.
However, Dewani has denied the allegation and said he has never met the male prostitute from Munich.
The escort allegedly told Scotland Yard that Dewani paid him over 1,100 pounds for three sexual encounters between September 2009 and April 2010.
Meanwhile, 26-year-old Kansagra, who met Dewani at a party in August 2008, has told South African police that he called off their engagement, but refused to comment about her relationship with Dewani.
Anni was shot dead after gunmen hijacked the couple's taxi while the couple were on their honeymoon in South Africa in November last year.
South African police claim that the 31-year-old paid the men to kill Anni during the staged hijacking. Their taxi driver Zola Tongo had claimed in a plea bargain that Dewani offered him cash to arrange the two hitmen. (ANI)
