London, July 22 (ANI): Manchester United star Wayne Rooney believes that Liverpool can win the Premier League under manager Kenny Dalglish.
Rooney said that Dalgish has rejuvenated Liverpool and admitted that the Anfield club posed a serious challenge in the Premier League run.
"Liverpool will challenge (for the title) this time. They have made some really good signings under Kenny Dalglish, British players, and I am sure they will try harder than they have ever done, fighting to be up there," Rooney was quoted, as saying by The Daily Mail.
"They will think they have a chance of winning the title. The main threat is going to be from Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City. One of them, plus us, will be fighting for the title," he added.
Rooney, who scored a hat-trick in United's 7-0 win over Seattle Sounders said he wanted be the Lionel Messi of Manchester United.
"Messi is a great player and rightly World Player of the Year. I think, not just for me but for every footballer, that's the target you want to try to get to. Hopefully I can do that," Rooney said.(ANI)
