London, July 15 (ANI): A mother bear left tourists stunned at the Ranthambhore Tiger Reserve in Rajasthan, India, when she defeated a tiger in a fight.
The female bear, who was carrying her two young cubs on her back, came to drink at a waterhole when the big cat attacked her.
Though the bear was taken off guard, she promptly launched into the air towards the tiger which started a three-minute battle.
Eventually the 300-kg tiger turned out to be no match for a protective mother as it escaped the site.
The crowd enjoyed the tussle as they clapped and cheered the bear, who had already fought off a similar attack minutes before.
"It's a rare thing to see. I don't think more than a 100 people would have ever seen a bear and tiger face off in the wild," the Sun quoted Aditya Singh, 45, who took some snaps, as saying. (ANI)
