Malkangiri, July 12 (ANI): Maoists on Tuesday killed a villager in Orissa's Malkangiri District.
At the early wee hours, locals found the body of Suresh Badndami near a village in Malkangiri district.
About a week ago, Maoists had abducted five people from the village and released three of them two days later.
Suresh Badndami and Suba Bandami were still in their custody. There were conflicting reports in local newspapers that Suba Bandami was killed, but it turned out that Maoists had killed Suresh Bandami.
"They kidnapped five people, out of which they have released three people and killed Suresh. While, Suba is still in their custody," said Chera Madkami, a villager.
The villagers said they had no clue or received any information of Suresh and Suba.
As per the Maoists, Suresh had allegedly provoked Suba to surrender or keep in contact with the police and in turn invited death for himself. (ANI)
