Peshawar, July 8(ANI): US Ambassador to Pakistan, Cameron Munter, has admitted that the US-Pak relationship is going through "a rough patch."
"Now, we are in a time where we are having some difficulties in our relationship," the Daily Times quoted Cameron, as saying while addressing a ceremony in honour of new Consul General Marie Richards and departing acting Consul General Constance Arvis.
The ambassador went on to add: "We are in a rough patch."
Relations between Pakistan and the US have hit a new low since US Navy Seals killed Osama bin Laden in a raid on his Abbottabad hideout on May 2, without informing the military and political leadership in Islamabad.
"We want to continue with our mutual cooperation and further strengthen our relations," Munter said.
But the US ambassador did not respond to the senior Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) minister Bashir Ahmed Bilour's "list of wishes."
Bilour demanded that the US stop drone attacks and transfer that technology to the Pakistan Government. He also requested the US government and people to do more in rebuilding Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's collapsed infrastructure. (ANI)
