Baton Rouge (Louisiana, US), June 30 (ANI): Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal may have refused to back his state's scandal-plagued Republican Senator David Vitter last year, but the latter isn't holding a grudge.
Senator Vitter, according to Politico, has expressed his endorsement of Jindal's re-election in an email, asking for 2,500 checks for legislative elections.
He believes Jindal is a credible candidate and should be given a strong victory.
"It wasn't long ago that the norm in Louisiana politics was blatant corruption and cronyism interrupted only once in a while by failed reform or mere incompetence. Jindal is helping to change that. He's honest and competent. He wants to make government leaner and smarter, not more bloated and intrusive. We must stay on this path," Senator Vitter said. (ANI)
