Haridwar, June 7 (ANI): Yoga guru Baba Ramdev, who was evicted by the police during his hunger strike from Delhi's Ramlila ground, on Tuesday asked his followers to break their fast to further fight corruption.
Ramdev, however, maintained he had not broken his fast.
"I have not broken my fast. But I have directed my workers, personnel, followers that they fight, end their fast for the fight (against corruption)," he told reporters here.
The yoga guru also said that his missing aide, Balkrishna, would address the media soon.
"Balkrishna will very soon come in front of you and he will address a news conference," he added.
Ramdev also said his trusts such as Bharat Swabhiman Manch and the Patanjali Yogpeeth would bear medical bills of his followers injured in the police crackdown.
Ramdev also alleged the police ran away with valuables of his followers during their eviction.
"The government is the thief. Who asked them to steal money? It is very unfortunate. They have plundered all the precious things, including mobile phones," Ramdev said.
Baba Ramdev was on a hunger strike against corruption along with 65,000 followers when the police, on the government's orders, decided to dismantle the elaborate camp that had been set up at Delhi's Ramlila Maidan.
The Baba was caught dressed as a woman, while heading away from the camp towards the railway station.
A special plane took him to Dehradun and from there he was taken to his Patanjali ashram in Haridwar by road. (ANI)
