Itanagar, May 06 (ANI): New Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jarbom Gamlin is a capable and dynamic leader who would undoubtedly continue the legacy of his predecessor Dorjee Khandu to take this landlocked state to the zenith of development, Member of Parliament Takam Sanjoy said on Friday.
"Wait and watch, things would take shape honouring the desire of the people," Sanjoy said adding, every decision would be taken with consensus and due consultations.
When asked about the possibility of a reshuffle or change in the council of ministers, he said: "When a new Chief Minister takes over, everything is dissolved and it is the prerogative of the new incumbent to take any decision in that regard."
On the possible induction of Khandu's eldest son Pema Khandu, who is the present district Congress president of Tawang into the ministry, Sanjoy said he was the first to take up the matter with the party high command to honour the unparallel contribution of the former Chief Minister.
Sanjoy said: "Hopefully after Khandu's funeral things would take shape and a family member would find a place in the ministry."
Anyone can be made a minister, but he or she has to be duly elected within six months as per constitutional provisions, Sanjoy said.
With the death of Khandu, his assembly constituency Mukto has fallen vacant and by-election will be conducted there. (ANI)
