Lahore, May 2 (ANI): Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has clarified his stand on the coalition government's alliance with various parties.
Against the backdrop of a condolence meeting at the residence an official, Mian Aamir Mahmood over his mother's death, Gilani said "The PML-N left the federal government on its own, while in Punjab the two parties remained in coalition for three years."
Terming the PPP-PML-Q partnership as conducive to national interests, Gilani he said that both were slated to reach an agreement in this evening. He welcomed further alliances, as it would strengthen the party to ensure enhanced decision-making at policy level.
He clarified that JUI-F continues to be a part of coalition government in Balochistan.
Regarding the demand of PML-Q for the post of deputy prime minister, he said the decision would be within the Constitutional provisions.
Gilani said he would welcome the decision of the MQM rejoining the Cabinet.
He attributed the hike in rise of petroleum products to its global price rise. (ANI)
