Ahmedabad, May 1 (ANI): Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday assured the satate's citizens that the growth rate would accelerate.
Speaking to the reporters after paying homage to martyrs of the Gujarat movement at Shahid Smarak in Laldarwaja area of the city, Modi said his government is working for the people of the state.
"I assure the citizens of Gujarat that the development of the state would progress even faster. Every village in the state will benefit from this development and reach the poors' house. Our government is committed and we will continue the good work," said Modi.
He called Gujaratis across the world to serve Gujarat, in order to serve the country.
He also offered prayers to Indulal Yagnik's statue opposite Sardar Baug and visited the Shaheed Smarak near Lal Darwaja.
Yagnik was one of the founders of Mahagujarat Janata Parishad that spearheaded the movement for a separate state.
The tribute was part of the events to celebrate 50 years of Gujarat's foundation. (ANI)
