Lucknow, Apr 4 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Police has announced a reward of Rs. two lakhs for providing information about the killers of Chief Medical Officer (CMO) B P Singh, who was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in the posh Gomti Nagar area here on Saturday.
Doctors had gone on a statewide strike to protest Singh's killing and demanded a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the incident.
According to reports, the doctors from Provincial Medical Services have postponed their stir till April 10 after an assurance from the state government.
Dr. Vinod Kumar Arya, who was previous CMO, was shot dead near his residence in Vikas Nagar area last October. (ANI)
