New Delhi, Mar 22 (ANI): Union Minister of Science and Technology and Earth Sciences Pawan Kumar Bansal today said that India and Japan will have closer partnership with the Indian Science and Technical institution in the field of climate change, sustainable development and global environmental issues.
During a meeting with Dr. Koji Omi, founder chairman of Science and Technology in Society (STS) Forum and former finance minister, they discussed to establish deeper relationship between scientist, Science and Technology establishment and also with the business community engaged in the business of clean technology and sustainable development objectives.
Dr. Omi is a key member of LDP and he was instrumental in enacting the fundamental law of science and technology in 1995.
He invited Bansal and Dr. Ashwani Kumar, Minister of State for Science and Technology and Earth Sciences to attend the annual global conference to be held in Kyoto, Japan in November 2011 to discuss ways and means to deploy science and technology in the welfare of mankind.
The aim of STS forum is to build a worldwide network amongst scientists, policy makers and business throughout the world. (ANI)
