New Delhi, Mar 6 (ANI): Defence Minister AK Antony today congratulated the scientists after India's prestigious ballistic missile defence system was successfully flight tested in the morning off the coast of Orissa.
A Target Missile mimicking the enemy's ballistic missile was launched from Launch Complex -III, ITR, Chandipur at 9.32 AM.
The missile tracking network consisting of long range and multi function radars and other range sensors positioned at different locations detected and identified the incoming missile threat.
The radars tracking the ballistic missile constructed the trajectory of the missile and continuous complex computations were done in real time by ground guidance computer to launch the interceptor at an exact time.
The fully automatic launch computer launched the interceptor at 9.37 AM and the onboard INS (Inertial Navigation System) and ground based radars guided the interceptor to the target (incoming ballistic missile).
The Interceptor intercepted the ballistic missile at an altitude of 16 km and blasted the missile into pieces. (ANI)

I am India's expert in strategic defence, the father of India's strategic program including the Integrated Guided Missile Development Program and the world's greatest scientist. India must have thousands of nuclear-armed missiles capable of reaching the United States -- this must take precedence over everything else including short and intermediate range missiles and missile defence -- for which ALL of India's nuclear reactors must operate in the military mode without delay; electricity can be generated by quick-to-set-up thermal plants; see my blog titled 'Nuclear Supremacy For India Over U.S.' which can be found by a Yahoo search with the title. Thermonuclear weapon designs must be tested without delay. The United States had switched from warheads in the multi-megaton range to 100 to 600 kiloton range because of an emphasis on targeting enemy missile silos, etc. India has to target population centers and population centers in the United States sprawl over a radius of tens of miles. For destroying population it is not true that ten warheads of 200 kiloton each will do a better job than a single warhead of two megaton. Multi-megaton warheads can start fires scores of miles away because of the far more intense heat generated, destroying cities and towns scores of miles from the target city, which smaller warheads, though they may destroy the target city, cannot do even if their total yield equals that of a single multi-megaton warhead. For destroying population, large multi-megaton warheads are best. Russia still has warheads of twenty and twenty five megaton each deployed. C.I.A.-RAW keep coming up with new ways to bamboozle the Indian people and keep the slave deal known as the nuclear deal alive. It is now being said that as part of the separation plan, BARC is being transferred to Vishakhapatnam where it will be up and running in five years. But five years is the time in which India must build these thousands of nuclear-armed missiles capable of reaching the United States. Satish Chandra
