Los Angeles, Mar 3 (ANI): Sirhan Sirhan, the convicted assassin of late U.S. Senator Robert Francis Kennedy has had his parole rejected for the 13th time.
Sirhan, 66, who is serving a life sentence and has lived behind bars for 42 years, once again lost his bid for freedom before a parole board at the Pleasant Valley State Prison in Coalinga, California, China's Xinhua news agency reports.
Sirhan, a Christian Palestinian, was convicted in April 1969 for the murder of Robert Kennedy, the brother of late President John F. Kennedy, who too was assassinated in November 1963.
Robert Kennedy was fatally shot with a .22-caliber revolver at close range in the kitchen of the now-shuttered Ambassador Hotel on June 5, 1968, right after he had addressed his supporters following a major victory in the Democratic presidential primary in California. (ANI)
