Washington, Feb 16 (ANI): India's Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao today said that the second round of the Indo-US Strategic Dialogue will start in Delhi on April 6, with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton leading the American side.
She said that she had discussed a host of issues with US officials, including Clinton, in Washington, in order to prepare for The Secretary of State's forthcoming visit to New Delhi in April.
"The Strategic Dialogue will start in Delhi on April 6. Secretary Clinton will lead the US side and External Affairs Minister SM Krishna will lead the Indian delegation," Rao said.
Rao further said that her meeting with Secretary Clinton and other US officials was very useful.
During her interactions on Monday and Tuesday, Rao met Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs William Burns, Under Secretary of State for Economic, Energy and Agricultural Affairs Robert D. Hormats, Under Secretary for Industry and Security at Commerce Eric L. Hirschhorn, Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security Ellen O. Tauscher, Under Secretary of Defense Michele Flournoy, Senators Richard Lugar and Mark Warner, Congressman Howard Berman and USAID Administrator Rajiv Shah. By Asif Ismail (ANI)
